Volunteering at the First Presbyterian

For many years now my church St. Luke in the Fields has helped with the running of the homeless shelter at the First Presbyterian on 5th avenue and 12th street. It is run during the winter and they are always in need of volunteers for this either over night or just preparing things. You don’t have to commit an awful lot of time, I’m a workaholic, so for me it is better to be there over night and then I’m off to an early start the next morning. I happen to only be doing it twice this winter, but I recommend trying it for more because it’s rather good getting to know the men a little.
