I went to a great party last night for the launch of edition No 4 of The Reality Show which I had contributed to. This new magazine is part of the revolution in Online Fashion and Beauty with photos in motion. They do both a hard copy and an ipad application. Which will be launched Dec 15th until then you can check things out on Nowness.com at http://www.nowness.com/day/2012/11/23/2611/beauty-is-the-new-fashion?icid=NownessLoves_large1_fashion
Mila Kunis has beautiful creamy skin and a wide face. The colors she usually wears  are the same as our Red Earth eye shadow with our ebony pencil inside the lower rim of the eyes and our black gel liner at the base of the upper lashes and lots of mascara. I  recommend that Mila tries a Nightlight eye shadow of ours that  would suit anyone who has her fabulous green almond eyes and that is our Topaz Nightlight. It’s a beautiful dark irridescent green. I  recommend wearing this  together with our matte Purple eyeshadow and for her lips our Ruby lip color with a Burgundy pencil – much more dramatic.
This Thursday at 10pm catch an interview rebroadcasted with Linda Mason herself on the Diana Montford show. Click on the link below to see the channel listings.
Linda did a very engaging Seminar at the Tribeca Y last Tuesday. We had a lot of fun and I learnt a lot from her demonstrations. I had become so used to just using concealer and a thin liquid base on older women but she showed me that sometimes in the case of a very thin skin that replacing the concealer with our cream base is better as it is lighter weight than the concealer. It also sometimes blends better then the liquid on this type of skin. Our concealer is $23 and comes in 4 shades. The liquid base is $59 and you get 2 oz which is twice as much as other companies give you. The cream base is $54 and comes in 8 shades. Love Thalita
Linda and her husband collaborated on handheld mirrors a few years ago, and now they are almost gone! Reclaimed wood carved and set with broken glass, they really are one of a kind. A few of them are astrological, others are simply bold screens of faces or brush strokes.
The final four in Linda’s collection of Mummy Mirrors. Usually they are $275 each, but as they go so well as a set, altogether they are $1000. They are perfect for hair salons, or even customized hotel rooms. Call to purchase 212-625-0490.
Back by popular demand are Linda Masons Freestyle Classes! Above is a link to Glorious Technicolor, one of her best Instructional Makeup DVD’s available at http://www.lindamasonprofessional.com OR you could call to reserve a spot for the class 212 625 0490 and you’ll receive the DVD as part of the class. This one is my favorite because it’s only 3 students, and it’s the Makeup Method Linda Mason is most recognized for. During a 4 hr workshop you are able to focus on artistic direction & self expression. Learning to be free & discovering your OWN creativity and color style.
After a short lecture it’s all about 100% participation to create your own abstract shapes & forms for illustrated photos. You work with live model/dancers on both the face and body, and receive images for portfolio. If you’re simply an adventurer and not a makeup artist, you’ll receive a beautiful image of work you created for your home!
Makeup is not just for dressing up in a traditional sense. You can choose to be sporty and edgy instead. Rosalie is an actress who came into our shop yesterday and will be in Boston this Friday and Saturday performing in Jay Scheib’s World of Wires (click http://www.icaboston.org/programs/performance/ for tickets!) then off touring in Poland. You can’t quite tell from this photo simply how stunning she is, but it was interesting to see how she was attracted to some of our newest and most exciting products. In this photo she is wearing Shark graffitigel, and about to hop on her bike… call to order 212-625-0490
