When I do portraits I often do a couple of versions. Here are some of my latest. Usually I discuss with the parents the colors I am going to use, in this case I just decided to use these colors and found out later that blue was the child’s favorite color. I think I shall do more in blue…

 This little beauty now has a little sister, so I’m looking forward to painting her too.

After my QVC appearance last Tuesday I went to the best party organized by Harry King at Parlor a private club on Spring Street. It was so much fun , I met up with many friends from my past. The music and dancing were great and there was a beautiful exhibit of Roxanne Lowits photography. Here is Kim Alexis looking gorgeous as usual. The photo was taken by Laurie Schecter.

3am is a difficult time to be up at so I added the Kingfisher graffitigel to Amy’s eyes when we were on set. She would also look really fabulous in these  soft coraly lipcolors together with gold eye shadow,  nothing too heavy and serious. The Kingfisher added to this  would  strengthen things up as would the Moire (The other color in the QVC offer)  or the brown liner shown. A soft shimmery pink Nightlight (Rose Petal) dusted over the lid would add glow and glamour.

My first Host on QVC on beauty IQ late one Tuesday Night was Shawn Killinger. After getting to know her, I put together a collection of colors and products that I thought would be great for her. I like her in the neutrals, so I  stuck to them creating a warm toned Mini masterpiece in the “Treasure Chest” compact with black cake eyeliner, bronze eye shadows and pale lip colors. My “Signs” Bronzer is the most important product to maintain her warm glow and a great blusher brush to apply it with. Babe lipstix is also a great color for her, to give her lips a little more life.

After Thalita looked at Mary Beth Rowe my upcoming host for this Tuesday Beauty IQ at 3pm and suggested some colors that would look great on her.  Aqua Loose Impact and Green Foam Nightlight, fabulous shimmery greens and turquoise,together with  hunter graffitigel liner . My large turquoise eyeshadow brush is great for dusting these on. For her lips a beautiful soft classic pink lip color Beth and on her cheeks a matching powder blush in the “Betty blush” series, Truth .

If I had the money I would definitely buy the Richard Hambleton he is an artist whose work I have always loved and I know will sky rocket one day. Nancy Guzil’s portraits are very beautiful. I visited her site and am astounded at her generosity she tell everyone the colors she uses in her paintings together with her preparation and brushes. Her site is a must go to for aspiring artists.

Not many people seem to know that here at the shop we also do a few original accessories. These are all hand screened with the art images that you can see around you at the shop  and made and in a very limited quantity. This week we are featuring the tights. Every year I give a donation to raise money for the Edwin Gould Foundation for children and family in foster care (http://www.edwingouldfoundation.org/). In the beginning, we used to work on art, together with the children, and that art was auctioned off. So here is one of the last pieces I did from that time. This year, you can bid on a commissioned piece by me. A later post will show you the type of piece. The Artrageous gala is a huge success and a lot of fun and takes place at Downtown Cipriani’s on the 4th of June so buy your tickets now! Okay Sophia isn’t the best red for everyone to attract the man of her dreams…Capricorns, Scorpio and the air signs  Libra, Aquarius and Gemini will have more success in Ruby (A blue red).
