The talented Social Media PR and founder of Izzi Bag, Anne Agoren came by and we had a great time playing with makeup. I used the Earth 2 liquid Base with a paler  earth concealer around her eyes and touches of Thumbelina cream base  for extra coverage on certain parts of the face and finished the complexion with  my great “OOM” translucent powder. She is a true Leo , vivacious, glamorous and fiery. So I stuck to the Leo Melody of colors. I blended a matte light shadow over the eyelids and  grey storm from the base of the upper lashes outwards towards the end of the brows. Because of Annes heavier lid I opted for my new Graffitigel liner in Moire, it won’t budge once it is applied and with this eye shape you have to be wary of smudging. Almost the most important point, I gave Anne eyebrows, delicately shaping them with a soft brow color Blondi.
For the lips in the softer look I  used Lipwand “Pop” and for the warmer makeup “Look”  the red hot lipcolor in the kit and warmed up the complexion with “OOM” bronzer.
Both these photos were taken in Daylight but as you can clearly see the one with the red lips was taken later in the day when the light was warmer.

I was asked by my Church, St Luke in the Fields , to do a painting depicting the scene of John 21 1:14 when the resurrected Jesus appeared to 7 of his disciples on the shore of the sea of Galilee . I did 4 pieces so I thought that I would share this one with you for Easter. Have a wonderful day

Sophia is such an elegant lip color. I named this lipstick after Sophia Loren. It’s a sensuous, glamorous, and earthy brown-red. It looks great on all skin types. It’s the type of red you can throw on when you’re going out to garden, but beware if the neighbor sees you- he might jump over the fence. If you are the timid type it’s best to wear in the evening. It really is important to be able to do a Blog  immediately something is happening,  as it is easier to capture the spirit of the event. However I couldn’t do this last week. Something had gone wrong with my Blog. So I shall just have to try to tell you now about the fabulous time I had working with a great team of people on a small promotional movie . It was so much fun. The director (and my new Creative Director) David Dumas and his team Brendan, Eric and Steve (both Cinematographers and Photographers) were great to work with. So watch out for the movie in the not too distant future.  Oh… and  I almost forgot my favorite model Thalita. For those of you who know her already you will rediscover her in this movie.

Daisy had her Baby shower last Saturday in the shop and it was such a wonderful event. Three of her closest friends, Katrina, Suzanne and Anastasia prepared everything and decorated the shop so it was very relaxing for me. Suzanne made the most wonderful raspberry meringue and Katrina made the most fabulous ecological diaper cake. Everyone stayed around so long waiting for the cake to be cut!!!!

Thalita (Aquarius) tried the Aries Melody Makeup Kit on herself. She started with the black coal eye shadow at the base of the lashes and blended a lot of it all over. She previously had Kingfisher eyeliner underneath the black which gives it a slight turquoise tint. After the coal she applied storm grey in the crease of the eye and at the base of the lashes, going right over the coal. She then went over all of this with Mushroom (starting in the inner corner of the eyes), followed by a little of the ivory right in the centre of the lid.  Thalita gave herself a sculptured look, blending the Driftwood blush under the cheekbone and around the face for a classic, sophisticated makeup. Wear Red Hot on the lips to blow away rather than be blown away.

We were very lucky to have a wonderful new young model, Maris for the individual class I gave the artist Sherri Jesse. It was good getting to know her face and Laura came up with a great idea of blending the bright compacts in with her hair to set off the mixed metallic’s of her makeup. I used three of our Nightlights on the eyes Goldbar, Bronze, and Platinum next to the lashes and brushed onto the ruby color on her lips.
