My friend Almog, that great hair stylist, left some orphaned plants when he closed his studio around the corner from me. So they look great in front of the gallery and my shop, but I don’t know how long they will last in the blaring sun. Every afternoon when the sun is at it’s strongest they’re almost knocking at the window trying to get inside.

Most of you know that I have the Astrological Makeup Melodies to accentuate your sun sign with or for that matter you could just wear the Leo sign if you would like to be radiant, chic and extravagant- like a total Leo lady. Every July I head off to the Sea, but not the Hamptons, the North Sea. I’m from Sunderland, England and still have many cousins, nieces and nephews that I like to visit. This year however, as you saw in my last post, I’m preoccupied with my consolidation. I’ll just have to make do with the swimming pool for now.

Waterproof makeup is an absolute necessity for Summer. I have been spending this past week, and will be spending the 4th of July, clearing out years worth of papers detailing ideas that I’ve had, and unfinished projects from 26 Grand Street. I’ve decided to get rid of all of the clutter so I can organize my ideas, and figure out what will be the next step for each of them. I will fit all of the papers for an individual project into a box 14’X20’X3.5′

My daughter Daisy came across this great photo on my publishers website. It’s of the launch party we threw for my book release in March. Kim Alexis, on my left, has an incredible ability to make people feel comfortable. She is not just ‘girl next door’ beautiful, but also has an extremely sensual side to her that you can see in the photos on private exhibit at my gallery. Carol Alt’s skills as a model far surpass anyone I’ve worked with these days, she gives herself entirely to each frame with versatility and abandon. Thalita did very pretty window displays this week. I am trying to make the fusion of art and beauty more evident so I shall be using more paintings in the mini masterpiece window. You can see a couple of the paintings used for the mini masterpieces in this window display.

Tonight from 6:30-7:30PM I’ll be doing a book signing at my friend Dee’s event. It will go on till 10:30PM and promises to be the perfect Shop Addict event. Tickets can be purchased at the door, and you’re given a great goody bag. Hope to see you there!
